UPM 2016 Malesia
In April Bioagricoop staff went to Malaysia for some project events.
On 18th of April a workshop took place in the Agrarian Faculty of UPM - Universiti Putra Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.
Professors Datuk Mahyuddin and Mohd Razi Ismail, along with our experts Riccardo Cozzo and Carla Gambini, participated in and conducted the event.
In the morning, some reports about EU rules for organic certification were exposed to the public. About 50 people, including Agrarian Master students, participated.
In the afternoon, Dott. Mahyuddin introduced a roundtable addressed to discuss with all the participants the issues of the morning workshop.
On 19th evening, a gala dinner was organized in the restaurant Vino Vino Bistro in Kota Kinabalu.
Importers, chefs and journalists participated in the event.
Some organic products of our network were offered to the guests as appetizers, while the Italian chef Claudio Cucchiarelli cooked our organic products, creating a menu ad hoc for the dinner.
The guests appreciated the dinner and the combination between courses and wines.
At the moment organic food is almost totally lacking in Sabah market, then the operators showed a big interested in our products and asked for many information.
From 19th to 23th of April a Bio week in GDO took place in Imago Shopping Mall in Kota Kinabalu.
The consumers were very curious about the organic food we exposed. Moreover, they could taste our organic products during all the week in the dedicated corner of the Mall.
The products exposed included pesto, biscuits, extra virgin oil, frit juice and wine.
On 20th and 22th of April, two specific events were organized in order to attract a big number of consumers.
